I recently purchased Power Grid from NZ Game Shop at what I thought was a heavily discounted rate, and was very pleased because I don't have much money to spend on new games these days.

Unfortunately, upon receiving the item in the mail, I discovered that they had sent me the Quebec expansion by mistake, and subsequently got told that they "don't even stock the base game, sorry!".

Very disappointed and left with an expansion and sleeves that I couldn't use, and no money to buy the base game, David from Seriously Board came to my rescue.

Not only is David sending me the game at no profit to himself, discounted to cost, he is also sending it to me before I've paid and is letting me pay him back later. If that's not service, then I don't know what is.

A huge thank you to him and Angie for running the saving grace of Board Game retailing here in New Zealand, I am super impressed, and very grateful.

Seriously Board is seriously good, and I highly recommend them for your next purchases! You can visit them at seriouslyboard.co.nz

I'm, I'm afraid there's been a mistake. The man who has been speaking to you is an impostor. He is not in fact the Bishop of East Anglia, but a man wanted by the police. I am the Bishop of East Anglia and anyone who doesn't believe me can look me up

I've only had the opportunity to make a couple of orders with Seriously Board. But I have been very impressed each time with the level of service. Their packaging is incredible, better than many companies that I have dealt with that ship internationally, and I love the Freddo chocolate bar they slip into the box.

keep it up and I hope to maybe see you on Saturday if we can organise ourselves to get to Armageddon.

By the way... someone should design a "Seriously Board Fan" microbadge.

www.nzgameshop.com looks like to be mainly electronic games with other stuff. Never heard of them before now.

From their website:

We are based in the UK and specialise in exporting video games to New Zealand. Save up to 50% off the retail price of many games.
All our prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
All items are shipped from the UK, delivery time to New Zealand is approximately 4-12 days.

I've used NZ Game Shop to buy PC games, but not board games. They're generally very good, especially on price. I especially like that they often sell Steam keys for games, which are quite often half the price that they are in NZ.

But yeah, Seriously Board are awesome.

Thanks for the support, Nerdly! We're just glad we were able to solve a problem for you, even if it wasn't our own doing.

We'll be in Auckland for Armageddon on Saturday, so we'll bring Power Grid with us and drop it off in person.

The thread shows that although buying overseas can be better on the pocket now, it is a lottery on what you're gonna get (says Forrest). So far I've had damaged orders and wrong stuff sent several times in the last year. Buy local if you can.

So we did make it to Armageddon, and we visited your stall several times although you were very busy so didn't want to interrupt to chat. My step-son was the nine year old interested in all things Doctor Who

BTW. Are you getting in Seasons any time soon, and do you have an idea of the price you will be listing it at?

Hi James! It was great to meet you (albeit briefly) amidst the chaos of Armageddon! thumbsup

I'll Geekmail you about Seasons as this isn't really the place to chat numbers.
