I've just picked up Dark Ages for Dominion and am short a few hundred sleeves. I wondered if anyone had six or so packs spare I could buy off them, or loan till I can get some new ones in (Mayday are currently out of stock)? Or a store that stocks them.

Thanks

Dean, NextGen is a gaming group in Dunedin that is also the distributor for Mayday sleeves in New Zealand.

Thanks David, I'd already been in touch with mark as my first point of call. He doesnt stock premium sleeves routinely, and while he's happy to get some in, Mayday is currently out of stock.

So I was hoping that there might be someone like me who keeps a few packets of most sleeve sizes handy just in case and might not miss them for a while

PS I'm only being fussy about the sleeve type as I've got the six other sets already sleeved this way. If it was a single game or something I'd either pull them off, or try another brand.

If you pick red, don't complain when I start moving your meeple...

Coolstuffinc have them in stock. Small packages tend to only take a week to arrive.

I only buy the non-premium mayday sleeves. I do have some spare, not sure how they compare to premium though or if I have enough for Dark Ages.

I think I cleaned Mark out this week. Ordered about 12 packs of sleeves for 5-6 different games

Thanks Brad -although that's a little annoying since I brought my copy of dark ages from them and all the packets of sleeves they had at the time! :/

[edit] Dammit, they do too - ok, sigh, order placed - thanks for the help folks.

I'm kinda committed to premium sleeves for Dominion now I've sleeved ummm a lot of cards with them I do like them, but don't bother with them for many other games.

I've actually started desleeving a few of my other games where I was using penny sleeves as they feel a bit more trouble than they're worth, specially where they're quite a loose fit. If I'm playing with kids or non gamers they're always sort of slipping off etc and just interfere with the flow of the game (I appreciate that playing with kids is when I most need sleeves! but a good time has to take priority over a pristine game forever ).

Re: trying to track down some Mayday premium Euro sleeves.
I'm all good - over 200 packs in at the moment, but we usually only carry the standard sleeves since that is what we found works best eg., for Dominion we use standard Mayday Euro pack and for Eminent Domain standard Mayday Card packs. They hold up really well to the constant shuffling of both games and don't cause problems with stacking too tall or fitting in the box.

We do order in premium sleeves when people want them though (25 premium on back order right now).

We now also distribute Swan sleeves - they aren't quite as snug a fit but have a very large (50 odd) range of sizes and have more sleeves per pack.

Early days yet but I see room for both brands.

Cheers,
Mark

PS: thanks for the mention David.

Just updating, we now also hold the premium packs for those that specifically want them. Plus a lot of new sleeve styles that I won't list here

See our sleeving guide if you need an idea of what sleeves will fit your game though:

Awesome, thanks Mark. Got some new games coming so I need to sit down and work out my sleeving requirements, what I've got handy, and then I'll get in touch.

All good - still waiting on Seth re: Get Bit! I'm considering getting a copy for the club to see if it is worth keeping these on hand as well. If I knew a few more people were keen I'd just bring in a full boxed set whistle

Cheers,
Mark
