Found these at miniaturewargaming.com:

http://www.freewargamesrules.co.uk/Rules/Science_Fiction/rol...

Any ideas where to get counters to represent players? Or minis even? Am thinking of those old Tudor electric football players like in the pic below of this person's conversion:

Thanks,
MD

Sounds like fun. I'd suggest using these blood bowl minis and using some green stuff to add wheels to their feet:

The guy who created this game posts on the Toronto Area Boardgaming Society site, so I'll let him know about this thread.

I've seen the scale of the Rollerball game in real life, and those 25mm shadowforge figs are too big. The Rollerball game uses small scale guys that look like they are from model railway scenary

Re: rules for Rollerball!
Hi Chris.

I've got an updated version of the rules available at the link posted above.

There's JP's competing rules set over here:

http://home.nc.rr.com/jape77/index.html

that might apeal to some of you more; it's suitable for larger figures like the ones pictured above.

I made my pieces from the Preiser 1:72 figures for european firemen, adjusted with modelling clay to bulk up the shoulders and painted.

The bikers are from a (discontinued?) series of military 1:72 models by Rocco Minitanks, again modified.

I mounted my miniatures on 1/2" card to fit them on the hex-grid I used.

With the online version I have a .jpg page image of 1/2" counters suitable for printing and pasting onto card to make counters.

For the arena I prepared a large, full-size .jpg image. You'll have to figure out printing and preparation of that part on your own. If you do try making a 3d arena like mine, you'll find you have to truncate a few of the hex-rows to account for the reduced circumference of the elevated surfaces.

I offer both a standard game with the rules and arena made to match the game you saw in the film, and my own alternate arena and scoring rules if you prefer (as I do). Of course we're dealing with the more serious 1975 film.

My game rules have a long playing time. It's intended to be suitable for campaign play, but you'll need a great deal of free time to make this possible.

If you have any feedback, I'd be pleased to hear your criticism.

If you have any questions, I'd be pleased to offer answers. This would also help me to prepare an errata.

... and if you're in or near Toronto, hop onto Toronto Area Boardgaming Society's forum to arrange a game.

I'd be happy to show off my work to interested people.

Hi Jape uses cake decorations, they are about $3 for 8 football players and Matchbox Motorcycles. So his figures are roughly 54mm. Not very detailed but you have to do a lot of work to them anyhow.

I have found a source for motorcycles in 1/87th scale (HO)

http://www.reynaulds.com/faller/temp.asp?item=156018

Bit pricey but will give you 3 cycle per kit.
