PLEASE NOTE: Games Night is changed to FRIDAY NIGHT again this month.

The next Games Night is on this FRIDAY, 16th November 2012 at the Royal Hotel. The usual time of 6.30pm in the dining room for a meal and then start playing games from 7.00pm and continue until about 10.00ish.

We have decided to stick to Friday night again, after such a good turnout at the last games night. We thoroughly enjoyed the fun games and fun company. We are also looking at having the December games night earlier than usual on Thursday 13th or Friday 14th (as a Christmas gathering), so please think about which suits you better and let us know.

The theme for the next games night is Incan and South American games, since it is the anniversary of Francisco Pizarro and his men capturing Inca Emperor Atahualpa in 1532.

For more information contact: Robyn or Graham, 9 Fitzherbert Street, Featherston, phone (06) 3088168 or send an email to BoardGameEvenings@allaboard.co.nz.

Be good to see you David. I'll be bringing Tikal and Incan Gold to fit the theme... I guess Endeavor also fits a bit.

You too, Eric.

I misread the notice and thought "next games night" meant the one after this one, but of course it means this one

I suppose I could bring Santiago. Navegador features South America too, (but along with everywhere else), so that fits too if Endeavor does

Aside, have you tried the Mini-Tikal variant for 2 players? It's quite good.

Santiago is set in Africa! It's a great game, played it in the weekend, but it refers to a Santiago in Africa, not SA. cool

PS: How about Cuba or one of its offshoots (Havana, Santiago de Cuba, and the other one) also Puerto Rice/San Juan...

No, I haven't tried that. I'd like to try the bidding variant for Tikal sometime, too. I think San Juan may be the only other Central American game I have.

We did manage Incan Gold but not Tikal. I enjoyed K2 - we just pretended our mountaineers were South American.
