Stephen takes over the podcast and is joined by guests Erik and Don to talk about running a booth at a convention.

In the review-a-palooza, Erik and Don review:

Hunt or Gather
Core Worlds
Lost Valley
Urbania
New Science
Castle of Magic

Alrighty then, what did you think of the episode? You are all making me nervous with all the chirping crickets out there.

Would it bother you if On Board Games were bought or sponsored by a game company? (Sure Second Rat Games pays for the feed, but that's different than a real game company sponsor.)

Do you go to conventions? If so was the game company convention experience the same as you expected it to be?

I came across an interesting article about setting up your booth for GenCon.

They talk about a lot of what we covered in the episode, but there are also a few things like the physical layout of the booth that we didn't cover too deeply.

Let me know what you think after you read it.

I liked the episode, Stephen is a great guest host, and the takeover joke was very funny

It's nice to listen to someone that is so passionate about the games, and that is into the game business, I think there are much other ways to earn a lot more money

However next time he is on the show, plan for a shorter review - palooza so the show didn't last sooooo much

Hey, I had a self imposed deadline for a couple of those games, so I really needed to get them on the air! Just think of it as more content to get you through the two weeks until the next episode.

Great episode. I love listening to Stephen talk about his games and Stronghold. He's coming out with some amazing games. Great company to watch

I can't get enough of listening to Stephen Buonocore on all the podcasts. His exuberant personality mixed with that awesome (was it New Jersey?) accent make him a great guest (or host, as the case my be).

Oh, and you can joke with the "He takes over the world", but I think this week Milestone was reviewed in all of the podcasts I listened to (5+).

He doesn't need his own podcast, as he owns all of them, he is the Sauron of the podcasters

One Game to rule them all, One Game to find them,
One Game to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Bounocore where the Dice lie.

That's a good thing, he appears to be on every show. I'm very pleased that, in addition to telling us about Stronghold games, he had an interesting perspective on our RT Topic. I've tried to stop scheduling guests that are just going to say the same thing on our show that they've already said on other shows. That doesn't really do anyone any good.

Steve was a good guest, we'd invite him back any time he had a round table topic he was interesting in discussing. But, um, no contracts this time.

Re: OBG 91: Stephen Buonocore Takes Over the World
In your final review (Castle of Magic, at 2:32:43) you said "Who knew that red and green made yellow? ... but today it does"

The answer is that anyone with a basic knowledge of light knows this. Red and green make yellow every day - not when combining paint of course, but you were talking about light not paint. The three primary colours of light are red, green and blue. To get yellow you combine red and green. I remember years ago checking this out for myself by examining something yellow on an old colour TV. Close up you could see the red and green dots. Further away it looked yellow.

You were speaking a deeper truth than you knew.
