The next BattleCry is getting closer on the horizon.

We have our large casual boardgaming area available for pick up games throughout the con. Our ever increasing library is available for people to use during the day.
For tournaments with prizes we have a range of events like Carcassonne and Tony's Mixture Boardgaming tournament. We have loads of demos and learn to play areas as well as trade stands selling a range of goodies.
We have a few non-gaming events people might also be interested in like our costumed Ball on Friday night, and our outside costumed Mad Hatters Tea Party Picnic and Games on the Sunday.
As part of BattleCry we are holding a special Friday night fundraiser on the 23rd of November called BattleBUY.
Friday 23rd November 7pm to 10pm Commerce A building, Auckland University Campus.
Come one, come all to the first ever BattleBuy evening organised by the BattleCry Inc Society.
A night of fun and games and winning and scoring pretty loot all in the name of fundraising for BattleCry 2013.
The event will include bingo, pub quizes, card games, dice games and other such things where you can win cash... oodles and oodles of cash... only catch is it's all BattleCry Bucks... oh no, but wait... at the end of the night we will have a special auction of all sorts of fancy goodies and pretties and you can only bid on these fancies with BattleCry Bucks! Woot!!! And just in time for Christmas too. A night of fun and score some goodies for yourself or pressies for family and friends. AND it's all for a good cause.
The event will be held on the Auckland Uni campus, in a set of rooms in the Commerce A building. Each room will be dedicated to a similiar style of games. You can flit from room to room trying a range of games, try a quiz, play "The Money or the Bag" or pull up a table in our Casino room and play for big BattleCry Bucks...
Door tickets are on sale now for $10 and this will get you a range of refreshments during the evening and $100BB to use in the games. Between 9 and 9:30pm the games will wind down so at 9:30pm we can begin the First Ever BattleBUY Auction. Something for everyone. We will have other BattleCry merchandise on sale during the evening, plus a range of drinks and snacks so bring a few real bucks with you and grab some goodies. And if your luck runs out during the games you can buy additional BattleCry Bucks for the auction on site.
We will also be drawing the winner of the free BattleCry 2013 tshirt from those BattleCry tournament entries who have pre-registered and paid for tournaments at BattleCry 2013 before the Early Bird Price ends. And we will be offically launching the exciting BattleCry 2013 tshirts.

We are holding a special 1 day Star Wars X-Wing tournament on the Sunday. Some nifty prizes up for grabs. And there will be demonstration games for X-Wing all Saturday if you want to try it out.
And the BattleCry boardgames library just had some new games donated by Privateer Press so more games to check out and play for free over the BattleCry weekend in the free casual boardgaming area. We have 3 large crates of games for borrowing during the BattleCry weekend.
It will be a large section of the main hall right by the main entrance again where it was earlier this year... with the library spread all over tables for people to borrow from again. We are making some big banners for the walls and already have some board gaming posters organised to show the area better. We are also planning some snazzy table cloths on the board gaming tables too... We will be giving out maps of the venue spaces with the loot bags for 2013 so things can be found easily.
