Legends of the Elders often include reports of small scout ships that can guide the massive ships of the Solstice across vast distances. Whenever these ships would appear, the native populations immediately began to atone for their misdeeds, for they knew the Elder databases kept records of wrongs done over the centuries.
The Elders may build one Interceptor designated as the "Red-1" prototype (cost 4 materials, use an extra ship of an unused color). The Red-1 blueprint has a built in 6 source and 4 hex drive, and no space for upgrades. This ship cannot be pinned, and does not pin enemy ships.
This interceptor always counts as having a special warp portal in any hex where it ends an activation. The special Elder drednought ("Dred-Sled") may use one activation to temporarily create a warp portal that links to the Red 1 hex ONLY. The Dred Sled may then use a second activation to move to the hex containing Red-1.
