It's still fairly jagged in places, and your lines are now 2 pixels thick even though they should be as slim as possible. Try to recreate the shape by hand using just red pixels, then smooth out the sloping bits. Finally, it should be symmetric.

Maybe. It doesn't seem to fit in either one very well. The conference is for software developers and they happen to have a large boardgame room set aside for people to play what they bring. This is why I put it under Computers & Technology.

If the name was "CodeMash Attendee" and the mouse-over was "I play boardgames at CodeMash" would that be a better fit for Computers & Technology over Board Game Related?

I choose to keep the background because the game uses small tiles that look like crate boards and this image is more recognizable.

The problem with that is, if it's supposed to be a CM badge then it shouldn't (in my opinion) have the additional qualifier of also playing board games there, it should be just be for anything CM.

The E3 badge is currently in Board Game Related > Conventions, which admittedly seems a little odd.

I see your point. I can submit it under Board Game Related > Conventions and just have it be named CodeMash Attendee with a mouseover of "I attended CodeMash"

It's a pretty safe assumption that if someone attended, and is a member of BGG (enough so they'd buy a MB), then chances are pretty high they either played a game, or at least spent some time in the game room cool

MB Proposal for the Game Deadwood

I'm not personally a alphabet letter or human face kinda MB guy, so here is one more MB for the game to choose from.

It simulates the graphic from the "cartridge token" in the game that are used during shootouts.

I used the actual graphic from the game for the core design, but then applied a heavy about of manipulation to turn it into a MB.

Proposed MB:

Mouseover: "Deadwood Fan"

Would anyone like to offer input for consideration prior to submission?

The bullet seems too stretched. Lose 2 pixels, it will give room for a nice shadow underneath (as in the original images).

I was thinking it might be a bit stretched looking myself, but wanted to see what others thought first since I was not sure. Taking out a pixel or two length wise would be easy, and allow for a more fullness in girth as well, thus solving that esthetic concern.

As for the shadow, probably not, but I'll look into it after others have an opportunity to chime in with their thoughts.

Here you go, I wrote a quick script to generate the shades programatically using the table here and saved out as PNG to avoid loss (Photoshop is reporting 256 colours for me when I import the PNG back in):

Edit: I'm hoping any compression on the server side doesn't result in loss though, I don't have any control over that.

And since they're already in an array, a few variations:

First is just the array reversed, second is randomised, third is created by intermittently taking the first colour, then the last, then the second, then the second from last etc.

I think the randomized one would be a good mb for "I enjoy watching snow on my television" (or something like that)!

Its really more of a really deep purple, but it did not look very good with that heavier purple shading. I opted for artistic license on the coloring in this case.

I like the idea. I think the fingers should come further over the thumb, though. Right now it looks like the hand is doing something requiring dexterity rather than shaking in anger, like rolling a die or making the ASL letter E. I would buy this, especially if the user could link it to his/her nemesis.

Kaffedrake, the mean man of Microbadging. I say that with affection though, and appreciate the feedback/nudging in the right direction.

I'm still new to using this transparency thing to make pixels appear less jagged, so here is my first attempt at that plus a small shadow to make it symmetrical.
