Got it, thanks to your hint below and lots of guessing. This one sucked. The instructions were too obtuse and the secondary phrase was vague at best.

OK, you've got the phrase, which means you've found some letters that spell a verb. If you add another word to this to make a bigger word, you get a noun. And the word you added is somehow vaguely related to a word in the clue-phrase. I think. Honestly, once I found a compound-word noun form of the verb, I just guessed the added part, and it worked.

I thought for sure once I saw the verb that the noun would be knowledge. It isn't.

Yeah, I thought this was surely the answer too. And it IS. They just want the stone!

That is:
Spoiler (click to reveal)
They didn't ask for the noun, they asked for the stone that turns the verb into the noun.

Geesh! No way I could have done that one without a few clues. And once I got the clue, I thought I must be wrong, but it worked out. I am really amazed at the guys who just GET it, like in 13 minutes. They must be young. Once you pass 40, you have to make an appointment to get your brain to work, and half the time its late.

Wow, what a disaster of a puzzle. The clues for figuring out the clue were vague and convoluted, and even when you DID figure out the clue, if you were one of the few unfortunate ones to try to solve it early, it was WRONG.

This was frustrating, and not in a good way.

Ohh yes, tonight's puzzle is so much easier.

I've got the Tanga answer without all the clues but i'm still curious as to the answers to some of the clues. Particularly, "One palace" and "ancient". I've got an idea for each but just wanted to confirm. Anyone out there who'd like to exchange the answers? Thanks!

I was mislead by some of the previous puzzle posts on the tanga site. Now that I've solved all of the clues, here's some help:

The antelope clue matches with a 4-letter word. I was not aware of this previously.

O N E PALace has the answer. Find the clue to categorize it.

Follow the directions in the two bites clue literally. Still hungry? Look for the matching clue

Ancient is much more helpful when describing its counter-clue. Written by? D'oh!

I'm not getting it. I'm assuming that the final answer has:

What i'm getting in the end so far is:

Is that anywhere close?
