Ugh. Rebuses drive me batty. Either you get them right away, or you struggle for way too long and end with a groan. I much prefer actual puzzles I think. At least I don't have to do a search on Ze Franks' website (right?).

Any hints? I've been looking at it for way too long and ready for someone to give me a nudge besides just telling me I need to say it. Please?

I guess all of the people who have solved this went to bed?
Only ones left are still scatching their head. And my face is red.
Enough said. No, one more word instead...

Salt!

Thats the correct pronunciation, but I want to know how you get from eggs to akes... I almost never order akes for breakfast.

To solve, simply complete the thought with the common idiom. The Addams' love it, I know, but the verbal leap was too much for me.

5 word phrase of which you have the first four

second word uses last letter (of three) from first picture and entire second picture and misprounces this picture (especially the double consonant)

The second image was originally a picture of 'aches', but playtesting found it to be way too ambiguous. 'Eggs' was deemed much better, since there is no ambiguity in the picture, and if you pronounce it 'ay-ggs' and combine it with the first and third words, it sounds similar to the original phrase (but not to a lot of you apparently)

You heard him, there's nothing to read here but spoilers. Move along now.

I would think that a picture of some tags would make a better connection. The sound is more phonetically linked without having to mispronounce anything.

Sample image of tags: www DOT bagnboxman.co.uk/large-jpegs/swing_tags.jpg replace DOT with a dot (had to do that to make the spoiler work.)

Dangit, THAT'S what I was missing! To think, I had the 'rebus' part solved right off the bat.

Thx!
