It is kind of ironic that the Professor is depicted in Capstone. His decks usually contain the least number of duplicated cards of all runners! laugh

FFG have been giving other LCG spoilers out to various community sources for a while now, so possibly just expansion to include Netrunner too.

capstone seems useful for criminals, who often pack up redundant cards to increase consistency. Once your rig is setup, you can cycle through your deck really quickly in a few turns to find the events you need. The 3 inf is prohibitive though. also lack of hardware tutors hurts it a lot. maybe in an event-heavy shaper?

panic button seems insane in a cerebral imaging deck. get your wombo combo up and ready much faster.

Depending on the corp deck I can see it as a good credit sink against Acct Siphons. It could also work as a deterrent in Jinteki decks... Celeb gift and show no traps but two agendas, then Rez PB and draw several cards and maybe scare the runner off... ?

Hee Hee...

I too love the almost direct reprint .. The original trash cost was 4c.

So if the spoiler page is right then two runner factions are getting three cards this pack?

Panic Button.
This might be the silver bullet against Account Siphon we were looking for (that isn't also absurdly good against other runners or useless in other situations).

Even if they decline to steal credits, they're now accessing from an HQ that's likely been heavily diluted.

Hrm. Panic Button is potentially like another Power Shutdown for a rich corp of the Accelerated Diagnostics persuasion. Ish. But clearly self-decking is increasingly becoming an option.

Other thoughts:

* Panic Button has the first good flavor text in a long time. More of this sort, please.

* Capstone's price seems quite high, given that it takes a card, two clicks, and two credits to activate even once, and that it takes at least two "repeats in your hand" to be effective per usage (barring the usage for HB:CP, where you chuck cards from your hand you don't want to lose to brain damage). So you need a LOT of redundancy in your deck, and you probably would like to be Kate so that the initial cost is reduced. Kit probably likes this, too, as she almost certainly has an excess of Decoders. The Collective might have loved this, to plow through their 55 card deck.

* I like the applications of Panic Button. I hadn't even registered that it is a Siphon defense.

I don't care if Panic Button never sees play, I've been waiting for it to be remade since I started playing because the very concept is awesome

♦ Capstone, Shaper Hardware, 2 credits, 3 influence.

Click: Trash any number of cards from your grip. For each trashed card of which you have another copy installed, draw 1 card.

Panic Button, HB Upgrade, 1 credit, 2 trash cost, 1 influence.

Install only in the root of HQ.

1 credit: Draw 1 card. Use this ability only during a run on HQ.

If you can get Jackson Howard out, then throw down a panic button, the next time the runner runs HQ you can sail up to 10, 15 cards in hand... Seems like a pretty good combo if you have the money/clicks to exploit all your new options.

Not so sure about Capstone. Using it is better than click-to-draw when you've got two or more redundant cards in a full hand, but is that really a common enough occurrence to bother with? Maybe in an already-wonky Replicator deck...?

Panic Button is really charming, though.

They'd have to run on HQ to let you trigger it.
