6 nimmt: My Current Favourite Card Game
So far I've reviewed a few card games, most havent done anything for me or I really just hate them. But 6 nimmt is a rare card game for me, Its really really fun. Not only do I enjoy it, but my girlfriend and her family do as well. So its win, win.

So why is this game so fun for everybody? I will try to answer that question as I go through my review.

Firstly the rules are simple and easy to teach. everyone gets 10 cards and 4 are placed face up in the middle. Your aim is to finish your hand with the least amount of penalty points. You do this by putting out 1 card on your turn. You must put the card of your choice on a card that is lower than the current card, it must also be the card with the closest difference.

This is where alot of the tactics and thinking come in. Do you put the smallest possible card down? Do you go high and hope no one else can put a card down? There are many possibilities for this game. Constantly you are trying to second guess your oppenents and trap them into taking negative points.

Another great thing about this game is the player range. 2 til 10 players. So far I have only played 2 - 4, but I would really like to play with more. The numbers I have played with so far all play very well. Even a 2 player match is tense and tactical.

So why do I like it?

*Its fun
*Theres alot of thinking and second guessing involved, especially for a card game
*It is very easy to teach, this is very important because my girlfriend and her mum cant stand sitting there for too long listening to rules
*My family enjoys it too, this is very important because they are my only gaming group at this time

Why do they like it?

*It was easy to learn
*It is easy to play
*It is a card game
*There is thinking involved but not too much

In conclusion this simple card game can be both a gamers game and a non gamers game and still please everyone.
