Review based on one nights gaming adults basic set. 1 car each 3 players.

ok i lets start why bought ths game version

1) i debated large or small version general view i found was mini was harder for adults to gauge power but other then that the same.
2) Mini is cheaper soyou can afford an expansion with the base game with out going to expensive, for thoughs on a game budjet.

3) larger version look to be a dinner table or floor game, not very transportable
I dont have much space and normal carry my games around to peeps house we dotn have big house or tables so mini was my choice. space saver

ok the game

1)Components
Neat little black jigsaw wooden tiles, with plastic barrier that slot in very easily no proplems with any pop out on 1st nights play dont see it as a problem in future

2) game play
worried that mini mean less space cramped, in not able to compare to large version just yet but found it not to be a problem.

after playing the game i founds it great more then enought room to flick past over take! never felt cramped or pushed for space and board set up nicely with slight over hands on a coffee table, use a large board like monoploy/ powergrid if you need a slightly bigger base, worked for our group.
most tracks we tryed took under 5-10 uninterrupted flicks to complete

its not a 2 flicks and your over game.

3) Rules a slight problem here ive posted a section in rules for peoples preferance

3.0) rules say flick till you fall off. its quite possible to do a lap and 1/2 with out falling off, so we didnt like this much..

3.1) rule are vauge as to if you ment to only move 2 track jigsaw sections each flick , which i feel is limiting

so we decided 1 flick as far as you want then pass your turn on.

if you fall of you miss you turn and put your piece back where it started, if you knock some one else of they move back to where you started you continue.

4) Appeal, with just the basic set, well it felt a little bland, and childish, like pushing 2p coins around a table, well but much better.

but when we got more childish we added lego bridges and spectators aroudn the track with lego, starwars and carebear toys, suddenly the race track had a life. and meaning, we do like our themes!

4.1) Feeling
Game felt childish as 1st but soon got competative and the childish ness was lost.. its like stone age or boardgamers scaletrix!with not power!
there was geat feeling of satisfaction then a flick goes right lucky or planned.
and great frustration when you fluff and move and have to wait till yoiur next turn.

5)replay
once played it had i i can do better lets go again factor,
you are required to be able to flick i was suprised that some people could not do this! guess its like rolling your tougue maybe..

Over all a top dex game. right up there if not better then villa paleti
or bausack.

perfect for parties or as an icebracker!
fun change from tactics cards and wooden cubes games.

i am hoping to get the expansions soon..
and work out a nice rule set that fits us.

In a perfect world this game would be supplied in bars and pubs for all the play like domino's or pool.

Mark, if you ever show up at one of our gaming sessions :D then you can try out my full size set.

The 3 track sections rule may relate to jumping track sections. There is a badly written 2 section rule in the full size version which basically means "if your car takes to the air, leaving one piece of track but landing back on another, that is a valid play provided it has skipped no more than 2 intervening sections."

That's also how I read it.

We, also, have been playing with 1 flick per turn, turns work from front to back of leader board.

Excellent game; my 8 YO and I have been playing 2 cars each; she's usually taking 2&3 of 4 cars.
