Probably a little too salty for some...

After you figure out which round was dedicated to whom, it's Tanga number time.

I had to anagram it manually, though; the last numbers didn't make any sense to me

If you get those ungrateful girls in order, that will be a great first step.

The numbers at the bottom are not Tanga numbers in the usual manner, but are tanga numbers none-the-less
they apply to
SALTY
Spoiler (click to reveal)
elements larger than letters (second numbers) and elements larger than those (first numbers)

The other tanga numbers

Kilgore's spoiler tells you how to do it. We've seen this puzzle before, i think.

I think if you look at each clue and then at the crossword you will begin to notice something. Actually you already noticed something about the crossword and need to apply it to the clues. Work in reverse? I know that seems vague but it's hard to give salt without spilling the whole shaker...

Honestly, that spoiler, it isn't a spoiler, it didn't need to be spoilered and I'm still effing clueless as to how to solve the hypercross.

Additional Salt for the hypercross

the clue you see doesn't apply to the answer you're looking at - remember the concentration hypercorss we had a while ago

Kilgore - your first hint was exquisite - I was just too dense.
Thanks

apparently I need some huge salt on the hard one. I think I have figured out which target applies to each girl, but I am not sure what to do then.
Spoiler (click to reveal)
I used the blue and red dots to then determine letters corresponding to the girl's names, but that didn't amount to anything unless I have my math wrong....
Help!

Method's right. The question is what order you use what you've got. The numbers down below give the directions. But I believe most of the early solvers just fiddled around with what they had until they came up with a word that made sense.

The Hard Puzzle...

I've ordered the names. I am trying to apply numbers. The fact that there was a 10 and 11 threw me off. I am now working on an alternate solution that incorporates the number 10, but makes no sense for 11. Another solution suggests that there are not two numbers, but only 1 - still nothing there.

Where am I going wrong?

Assuming you haven't solved it...

SALTY:
Spoiler (click to reveal)
If you have the names ordered correctly, don't bother with the numbers at all. Just use the targets as tanga numbers, and you should be fine. I solved the puzzle last night, and I still have no idea how to reverse-solve those numbers. It's much easier if you ignore them entirely.

Regarding the hard puzzle...

Spoiler (click to reveal)
But if I'm just using the target numbers to the names, then why are people suggesting a 4 letter answer, when it seems that the answer is 8 letters long?

Spoiler (click to reveal)
There are 4 pairs of letters, resulting in an 8 letter solution, but only 4 elements to rearrange/anagram.
