This title looks interesting, but there is very little information out there about it. Has anybody played it who can describe what the game is like: rules, mechanics, game weight, etc.?

I agree. Based on the description and the game designer, I'm very interested in this game. I'd love to know more too.

I put some more snippets in the description.
The game is medium to heavy weight - after playing a couple of turns, you get the hang of it, but it will take several games until you know why you lost again. ;-)

The beautiful artwork was done by Austrian Klemens Franz - the only artist mad enough to commit on illustrating 300+ different cards. And doing it on time. And with a happy face. And (as far s I know) his wife still doesn't hate me for giving him the project.

 Go, Klemens Franz! First Maura committed to - what, 160 illustrations? - and now Klemens doubled her!

I can't wait to see lush photos of this game!

You want to see photos?
I uploaded one - of the box.
Just to make sure you know what you're looking for at Essen.

/sidenote edit: well, I took some pictures of Uwe Rosenberg during playtesting of this game.
Buit I think he'll sue me if I post them. *g*

Hanno, hasn't Uwe learned to keep his pants on for playtesting sessions yet?

I'm really interested in this game. Is it language dependent?

I read somewhere that there's a lot of German text on cards...is it unplayable for non-German speaking folk?

Any chance for some more card pictures?

Thx

Well, yes and no.
The learner/family version (ignoring the cards) will be easy to play even if you understand just little German.
As soons as you throw in the cards, it will get more complicated.

I expect a full spoiler list to be available at Essen or shortly thereafter (if workload allows, I'll do it myself), so you can check what those cards do. We tried to cover most of it with icons to make it easier to understand.

Sure. But I just came back from honeymoon last night, so give me a couple of minutes to clear my desk before I start digging for more pictures, if you don't mind.
