Duckling Dancin' » Forums » Reviews
Proper potty pieces provide powerful puns.
So we have been playing Chicken Cha Cha Cha for a long time now and my eldest (6) has tired of it. Then Santa brought along Duckling Dancin' and the fun hasn't stopped! Here is our review after a few plays:

Meeples - Just like in the full version, these meeples are beautiful. You get two ducks, two tail feathers and six color coordinated piles of poop. What could be better than that? The paint job is great, the pieces match perfectly to the original.

Game Play - This adds a nice new dimension to the game. The two ducks allow you to play up to six players, which is nice. The best part is that each chicken (and duck) can poop on a piece. You start off with the poop behind you (duh!) and when a player gets to the tile in front, they have to jump over the poop by finding the next tile's matching piece. If you don't, then you land in the poop and have to give your tail feather's to the pooper. Also, once the poop has been stepped in, you have to clean it up. The poop goes back to the owner of the same color. If your poop has been returned to you, you get to replay it once someone jumps over you. You can poop anywhere you want on the board.

House Rules -We played that you only have to give one feather to the pooper, not all. That helped the littlest one keep her interest up into the game. Our other house rule is that children under 4 get two peeks at tiles to make a match.

Kid Reviews - Both girls (3 & 6) had a blast playing it over and over again these past two days. Squeals of delight and laughter are always nice sounds to hear and this game elicits them repeatedly. If you have Chicken Cha Cha Cha, you should get this one as well.

That's not a house rule, you only give up one feather to the pooper, unlike when someone dances past you and takes all your feathers. You're playing by the rules as written.

Anyhow, Duckling Dancin' is a big favorite in our house as well. It really does improve on Chicken Cha Cha Cha to such an extent that I wouldn't recommend the latter without the former.

Thanks! I am well known for mis-reading rules, so I am not surprised about that.
