Descent (1on1) Brothers Durnog
So there were my heroes on their shiny second level: Trenloe the Strong and Battlemage Jaes.

Having defeated Narthak now they were to hunt down his two avenging brothers!

Me and my girlfriend now have a pretty good grasp of the rules and we almost immediately know what dice to throw which ones are best for re-rolling and have a better understanding of the game overall. (there was a slight thing that bothered us: what does the overlord get for facing heroes of level 2? Is it +1 card and +1 threat per turn? Or just on the initial setup? We opted for a card on the initial setup and an extra threat each turn)

Carrying on with the session it still took far more than 5 hours, but I feel I know why. I was entering every room and completely decimating all the foes. My guess is that I need to choose the bigger threats and not mind the smaller ones even if they turn out to be irritating skeletons doing some hit and runs.
But then again, Trenloe is quite the slowpoke having a staggering speed of 3! If I leave too much enemies behind the guy gets so many wounds in that they end up depleting his health pretty fast.

Although this is a session report I don't want to spoil the dungeon for people who haven't played it, so I won't get into great detail.

It was nice to see those roleplaying elements surfacing because in the first dungeon you think maybe the game is just about having too hack up everything with the story being a bonus to set you in the right mood.
If you're playing this dungeon you better listen carefully to what the overlord has to say or you may find yourself clueless and not understanding what is going on.

I successfully entered all the 4 rooms and lost just before I was going to defeat the second brother.

Having an Overlord with Doom!, Trapmaster and Evil Genius is NOT by any means an easy task. I lost more to the power of the traps than because of the monsters, which I practically blasted away in great numbers.

I'm starting to doubt if these are the heroes I really like. They have only slightly nice abilities, their skills are not bad, having Leadership and Boggs and stuff, but losing 4 conquest for each spells dead really fast. I think I'm going to change my party before other sessions, maybe I'll stick with Jaes a just a little bit more but Trenloe has to go. He's quite a rock, but really slows the party down.

Well and that's that, I'll be mourning over my deceased heroes and hoping the next party to face the giants are luckier.
