If the marker hits the bottom space then you do not flip your cotton mill. Your Sell action ends immediately. No more cotton can be sold via the Distant Market tiles for the rest of the period by any player. All tiles in the Distant Marker box should be removed and placed to one side. You can still sell cotton to ports in Lancashire in later actions.
I have another question regarding selling cotton. Can you simply sell cottons to ports in external locations(Sell and flip your cotton mill)? Or do you always have to sell it to Distant Market if you use ports in external locations?
