As an episode of Board Games with Scott, I did a video exploration and review of TransEuropa and the expansion, Vexation.

Excellent presentation. Very clear, simple and light for a fast and enjoyable game. I have not tried the expansion but my friends enjoy the base game when we are tired or we don't have much time on our hands.

I can't remember the rules at the moment, but my friends and I have always played it with a rule saying that whoever has the fewer points at the end of the game (another player goes over 10) then he is the winner. So when we play we usually have 1 winner (unless there's a tie ofcourse), 1 loser (might also be a tie here) and the rest are the in-between nobodies.

Oh and another thing, as a european I'd like to point out about when you said that it costs 2 to "cross that river".... well it's not really a river, that's the English Channel or La Manche.

Once again, well done and thanks for the review Scott. I'm always eagerly awaiting your next review/presentation!

Great review Scott, I love your show!

You did mess up the TransEuropa rules a bit though.

Quote:
Each player chooses a color, places his starting marker before him (in his play area) and his locomotive as a scoring marker in the train house.

Your locomotive starts in the train house, and...

Quote:
For each point counted, the player moves his locomotive downward one space in the direction of the red space at the bottom of the scoring track.

Moves downwards for each track you're away from connecting your five cities. Which means that once a player reaches the red area at the bottom of the scoring track...

Quote:
The player with the most points is the winner!

So normally there's a lot more losers than winners.
