I know my opinion doesn't count for much, but the two that appeal to me for my stuff are Christopher's Suburban and the first part of House 2.

(It would be neat to have a clickable MP3 link for each one!)

OK, I shouldn't cast a vote, but will clarify. My apologies Donald - I thought I had passed my handle to you. This is "Christopher", also "Chris", and also "Pararamids" on BGG.

Naturally I like my stuff :), but I want to say that all the entries are very good. I am impressed with the musicianship and recording qualities of all the entries!

There is every chance you did, I just couldn't find it when putting the episode together.

Thanks for the cool submissions.

I think one of Pat's songs should go in, can't decide on which one. Somehow I think of Giles when I hear these.

Johan's song is a bit too clean, sounds like Midi.

Dave got some really good ones, Clockwirk 3 (seems similar to something out of the computer game Pirates, I get the feel of the vilage music) of course is for you Donald :) Clockwirk 1 sounds like pause music and Clockwirk 2 sounds like right out of a computer game, a loading screen perhaps.

Dan's songs were also very good, a bit long perhaps? Durak60 2 and 3 are must haves, seems to go really well with the show.

Chis, I'm sorry to say that the audio quality didn't seem as good as the others and I'm not sure your style fits the show.

With exception of the piraty one I'm not sure where the others should go.

Hopefully this covers everything. Add comments as well if you have more specific input, or if I stupidly forgot something.

Wow, Very cool!

That includes the long segments as well as the reviews.

Hmm, Maybe I'll just do a second show of all the long music and we can do this all at once.

Nice work, everyone!!

My short clips were taken from a rock band that I played with in college in 1994. So they weren't created for a podcast, obviously. :-)

I had considered doing a podcast at one point, and thought that my own music would work good (no license issues!) and so I had pulled those clips. When Donald mentioned this contest, I thought they might be useful to him and his team.

I have no idea how to vote on this.... will have to give it some more thought.

Yeah... the audio quality of some of the snippets is less that optimal. These were recorded live in 1985 with my band, Junior Mints. That would be Suburban (Suburban Drag), Not Dumb, Cheese (Rock and Roll Cheese), Baby (How can I have my baby in a place like this) and Atlantis.

Yes, I'm a geezer!

It was great for all of you to submit your work. They certainly gave me an idea about the personality of at least some of our listener base, and that rocks.

For my part I wish I had more musical talent than pushing "play".

They were fantastic entries Don! I am very excited about the idea of having any of these for my segments! All are excellent!

Thanks and congratulations to all the entrants - they are great!

I have trouble expressing what I mean at times - sorry if it wasn't clear, or seemed obtuse. ;) Basically it boils down to me thinking they are all brilliant (any other synonym for brilliant and/or good would also capture the essence of my thoughts on the matter).

Great job Dan!

Cheers,

Giles.

No. It sounds like Reason. But it's MIDI-sequenced. :p

By the way - since my buddy won the Verizon FiOs Dream house contest and got a new digital recording studio as part of the makeover, if I get chosen I can most likely re-record whatever is necessary.

Prizes.

All kinds of prizes are going to be handed out once the guys let me know what they think would work for them. (I know Ben is going with crowd consensus.)

Erik and I have agreed to give a Second Rat PDF to each entrant, so if you entered, let me know which one you want. That is in addition to the other prizes from Gorilla and Out of the Box.
