so say you move on to a space that contains a minion and during the fight you fail to beat the minion; do you still get an action to investigate the square (seems kinda silly that whole ighting for your life you would stop to drink some random drink or investigate something).

If you fight the minion and fail, that means you were probably knocked out. When you're knocked out you follow the sequence for it (lose 1d6 of stuff/investigation, get placed on Town Hall face down, etc). That's it for your turn so you don't get to continue with an investigation of the space.

You could use cards that help you between rounds of a fight. But an investigation is either conducted before or after the fight as an action.

You'll notice in the turn order it goes Move, Fight Enemies in Your space, Take Actions. If you move into a space with a minion, you must fight before taking any Actions. Any time a Minion appears in your space, you must immediately resolve the fight.

Fighting a Minion can pretty much only end in one of three ways.

- You defeat the minion and it is removed from the board.
- You are KO'd by the Minion and you are moved back to Town Hall.
- You Escape from the Minion and move to an adjacent space.

You can never be in the same space as a Minion and not have to immediately fight it. The only real exception to this is Crows and Rats (the round minion counters). These two types of Minions do not have Fight Dice or Wounds, but instead have their own special rules.

Hope that helps.
