Expansions?
Will there be expansions to Snow tails? Some additional track parts would be fine... What is the Lamont Brother's policy on "fan art"? Is it allowed to create high quality track parts and upload them here?

Or a 6th player? (if it wants to "replace" Ave Caesar...)

I've been thinking about the same thing. I would think that as long as you don't try and sell anything it would be OK.

I will not hurt any laws, since you don`t want to show "better" replacements for original stuff, but additional tracks only usable with the original game. So it only supports their sales.

I would love some moving obstacles like antlers crossing the track or something like this ...

Yes, or a flock of (very cold) sheep...

Who's up for writing a new variant for Shear Panic that allows for the flock being disrupted by a passing sled?

Antler Island is the game to use. The deer could just as well be elk or caribou after all, and although the stags are cuter, the doeples would actaully fit on the track, and match the scale better. I may write a set of variant rules for the movement of a caribou herd crossing the track and running ahead of the dogs when the sleds get close.

Update: Posted rules here http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/370218 for the "Run with the herd!" variant.
