The battering ram is a devastating weapon, even if mine has the defect of never ejecting the spring loaded ram part. I suspect many others have this problem as well.

I have to press the trigger rather forcibly to make it eject. In a game, I don't think it will ever hit anything this hard.

Is there a solution to making it eject more easily?

You don't want to put a lot of extra rubber band strength/doubling on the Battering Ram. The little plastic piece in the middle of the device that actually releases will have a harder time releasing if the pressure is too strong against it.

I use one rubber band that's not doubled over for this weapon, and it ejects perfectly. Don't use the supplied 'elastics' for any of the weapons either.

What rubber bands do you use? I've heard about using orthodontic bands. Do these fit all the weapons?

I use normal rubber bands. I bought a bag of the size you need for this game at Target for 50 cents, in the office supplies isle.
