Players would say "I need Soybeans" or "I got Barley for trade" and then traded on the floor. Would it work? It seems like it'd be a better game than the one where trading is hidden, and more like a real stock exchange.

It would make the game dull as dish water I think. It would also slow the game down as people would listen for what people are looking for and delay trading to help themselves win.

The reason Pit is fun is that it's frantic and fast.
