Thanks for the list!

I'm quite surprised that I can only play 3(!) out of 15 scenario's. Even though I have the Terrain Pack, Eastern Front and the campaign book (and the snow/desert map, but it's obvious why that one isn't used). Shows me for thinking that I had quite some Memoir stuff...

I'll be moving this one quite a bit down on my wishlist...maybe even remove it. For €30,- I'd have thought that with the terrain pack and the standard box I would have been able to play at least half of them (to be fair: a lot of the required expansions apparently only use the badges and medals from that expansions. And we don't need no stinking badges! )

But seeing as we are still playing the scenario's from the base game (we've played 5 of them; we play each scenario twice) it'll take about 5 more years for we've played the rest!

Alas, I was really looking forward to it. Oh well, less trouble in buying battles of westeros then

Very comprehensive list, Stig! Nice work.

This is such a fun expansion in part because it uses so many of the other expansions...and there are even battles from all of the different theaters of the war. Good times!

Don't be so quick to assume you don't have the badges and tiles you need. It would be silly to buy an expansion just to get exit markers. Use stars, or other unused badges. I have only the base game, Tigers and the Terrain pack and since all the rules are available as PDFs, I'm confident I could play 10-12 of the scenarios by using simple proxies for the things I lack. It's not perfect, but I don't need a badge to mark an exit. Any small thing can do that. I don't need a specific badge to mark mobile arty; I can use a piece of tape, a gun from another game, and Russians not have to be red or whatever color they are in the Eastern Front Expansion. I play with green British on a green board every time I play a desert scenario.

Eventually I will have the proper expansions, but as long as I don't get confused, once the dice start rolling and units start moving, I forget about the color of the board and just concentrate on the strategy and tactics.

This expansion extends Memoir in a way that no other does. I won't let myself be limited by unit color or missing a couple of terrain tiles. I'll proxy what I have too and have a ball playing some highly mobile, highly exciting scenarios.

More marketing tricks to force people to buy expansions that didn't sell well and remained on shelves.

No thanks! I was going to buy this but now i'll throw the money on ToI instead...

For the sake of a couple of scenarios (or even bits for Breakthrough), I won't be buying those expansions, but I will (probably) still buy this one (just because I want the mapboards).

As somebody said above, it's fairly easy to use other tokens/pieces as representative of the tokens/pieces required.

Extra EF just for troops? I will get some Airfix-Esci-Revell 1/72 plastic soldiers instead. That way i will be able to have a special figures for the snipers, engineers, etc.

Wouldn't a copy of the overlord expansion do just as well for Russian troops? I like the counters, and don't mind using one or two of them per unit to make the figures go farther.

That would work nicely. Personally, I like to use other 1/72 figures that I have, but either way works!
