I like Flea Circus too. Mostly though I play 2-player games, and I like Hive and DVONN as abstracts, Kupferkessel Co. (OOP) as a themed set-collection gem, and For Sale as a quick, multiplayer auction game.

Circus Flohcati is our group's number one.

Others include: Coloretto, Mamma Mia, Solo Mio, and King's Breakfast.

ahh.. i'm thinking of picking up something light

My collection of "light" games include stuff like mille bornes, bang! and mostly old roll dice - move token games.

Any other recommendations on what I should pick up?

ticket to ride?

High Society comes to mind - it's quick and has some great decisions throughout. Great game.

Is that too heavy a game for "filler?"

If so, I'd recommend Can't Stop - another great, quick game and not as taxing on the brain.

Tough one. I've been playing a LOT of both Zirkus Flohcati and For Sale lately, and I think they are both my favorite fillers. Be hard pressed to choose a favorite, though ZF I can play with my 5 year-old, while I think For Sale might be a stretch.

For us, it has been Category 5 (6 Nimmt!) and Circus Flohcati. Geschenkt is waiting for me to go pick it up, so maybe it will be too.

We've found "Diamant", "The Great Dalmuti", and "6 Nimmt!" to be good filler games for larger groups (5-8)...for smaller groups we usually break out "Coloretto" or "Ivanhoe"...

High Society definetly! the only problem usually is that we play it
over and over and after a couple of hours we notice that there isn't
enough time to play a bigger game. It's true that some might think of it too heavy as a filler, but for me it's pure fun without too tough decisions because of the short gaming time. If you screw things up completely, the others will give you a chance in form of a new game :)

There's nothing better than Guillotine after a long contest for global (or galactic) domination! Soon to be reprinted.

My group also liked:

Give Me The Brain!

Devilbunny Needs A Ham

Mertwig's Maze

And, well, it's kind of like a board game: Mario Party 5.

Multiplayer: Geschenkt, Raj, For Sale, Hex Hex - probably some others I can't think of right now. Two-player: Rosenkoenig (played with closed hands), Clash of the Lightsabers, Odin's Ravens.
