When will he be there? I have no information about shops, but I can offer him an opponent if his visit overlaps with mine (July 23-30).

Of course, I'd be happy to hear about Ljubljana game shops, too.

Boardgames market is quite weak in Slovenia. There is only one shop in Ljubljana that is specalised in boardgames... http://www.laserplus.si/cluknja/ Unfortunately everything on webpage is in Slovene. If you want some concrete info, feel free to ask.

Of course I can offer opponent also.

I stopped in for a few minutes yesterday. The selection looked reasonably good, though I was not tempted to crowd my luggage. The best part was seeing that young people meet and play games there.

I have enjoyed my visit to your country very much, and hope to return some day.

Re: Game shops in Ljubljana
I am also in Ljubljana for a quick visit and stumbled upon this thread. The shop is a bit small, but it has a lot of new items (i.e. games that appeared on Essen last week)

I will be around until the end of the week (30th October 2011). Is anyone around to play some games?

This is a super old thread, but I wanted to add to it as an update for anyone who is visiting the lovely city of Ljubljana!

Crna Luknja is still there, but it should be noted that it is closed on Sundays and is only open 1-7 PM on Mondays...The other days of the week have much better hours. It has a nice selection of new and old games (some out of print in the US!) in several languages.

There is also a toy/game store near the river called Tojeto. It has a nice selection of games as well (and the staff is a bit nicer).

It should be noted that there appears to be a meetup in Ljubljana about twice a week!
