The Kim Possible game is actually very fun. I went to Epcot with my nephews and it kept them entertained at World Showcase. At first I thought it would be lame by adding too much Disney to the world but by the end we were all having fun. Wish we started earlier to see more.

Being a Disney Geek as well I am going to catch up on those podcasts as well.

I agree on your stance for Kickstarter. It is just becoming way too hard to keep up with what is out there and what "appears" to be good. I have played a few of the Kickstarter games and some are just "meh" I know that The Dice Tower guild just had some discussions on there as well. One of the Kickstarters complained that his game was not mentioned. Soemthime the games should speak for them selves (edit for additional comment and spelling)

Yes, great to hear Scott back with the team. I did enjoy Eric Summerer's guest visit, but the trio is just better with all the original members there... just like with any great rock band ; )

Congrats to Scott on completing his 5k! I've been a fitness buff for more than 10 years, and it is a tough transition at first but it's one of those things that you just have to do, and the more you do it, the eaiser it will get because eating right, drinking lots of water, and exercising 4 or 5 days a week just becomes part of your life, and you'll just be better off for it. The sooner you start, the sooner you'll reap the rewards.

Very VERY nice to hear Scott back. I second a recommendation for the walk to 5k. It's a real confidence builder for anyone (like me) who always thought running to be hard.

I just heard from the fine folks at Out of the Box and they are happy to include international listeners. The winner would just have to cover the extra shipping fees.

What was the name of Scott's running program?

Edit: It's this, The Couch-to-5K Running Plan, right?

For those who think a Walk to 5K is not really your speed, you should give Run for Your Lives a try.

Heh, and I was just a zombie in the Boston Run For Your Lives.

Here's a little pic from that local paper:

(If you want to see more, the Boston Phoenix had an article and pictures at http://thephoenix.com/Boston/life/138378-zombies-ripped-my-f... )

I don't see myself every doing a zombie run like that, simply because I think it would be too easy for me to slip into "real survival mode"... with enough makeup those zombies would seem wayyy tooo real, and I already have too many zombie nightmares as it is... don't need any more. zombie

They had to pull one runner from the course who was punching zombies in the face. The weirdest thing that happened to me was having someone leap over me while I was on my knees - that was pretty impressive, especially since he was ankle-deep in mud for the launch.

Scott, have you heard of The Color Run?

My friends and I are signed up for the one in Philly. And there's one in August.

Looks like its right up your alley, since you're enjoying running and you seemed to enjoy celebrating Holi!

Great episode guys, great to hear Scott's voice once again. Just an fyi... Donald mentioned being amazed that a game like Timeline: Inventions hasn't been done before. Well, I'd say it looks like a rip-off of Anno Domini to me. Anno Domini has... a few expansions out there, and Timeline looks identical, minus the German, of course.

I don't mind a kickstarter game now and then - just don't make it the total focus of your great podcast. I think kickstarter games are a lot like the rest of the gaming industry - lots of junk with a few keepers.

I looked at Timeline and it looks a lot like Chronology (which has recently been picked up for reprint by someone? Fundex, maybe?). Also found a couple of inaccurate dates in the Timeline deck, but I don't recall what they were now. May be related to what Don said about the pictures being inaccurate depictions of the "firsts." Anyhow - I've always like Chronology. Would Timeline survive application of the Jones Theory?

Re: OBG 81: Gaming Through Disney World
Bad News on the Origins 5K...

They have moved the time of the event to 1pm. This now conflicts with more of Origins, and in fact, I can not make the afternoon slot due to other ticketed events I've signed up for.

Sad Panda!
