Hey all... I have finally upgraded to now having every expansion for 4th ed in my collection. I have also sleeved every single card in the game. While this is great and satiates my OCD quite well, I'm not finding that the sleeved and slippery cards will not stay in a pile very well.

What are you people who have sleeved cards doing to keep order amongst your cards during gameplay?

Which cards are you talking about? Ones the characters have on them/with them or the decks themselves? Assuming the latter, I keep mine in a stack, Adventure deck stands about 15,5cm (6" and change) tall and hasn't tipped over once. If you can handle that, rest of the stacks are easy. Slipperiness of sleeves wears off after a while and the stacks also go down in size quite a bit (initially I measured 25 sleeved cards = 75 unsleeved when stacked).

Just following up, what did you end up doing for your cards? I'm a new player and have fallen in love with it. I hate watching people constantly fidgeting with the decks during gameplay. I totally miss the old holders that we had for our card games like "Mille Bornes".

So I've been googling for days to find business card holders that would work for gameplay. I can't seem to find anywhere that people have posted all their different methods of managing cards during gameplay and for storage etc. The only thing I've found so far is at the Container Store:

That particular item is a little short for the adventure deck though so now I"m suspect I"ll have to make something like this but customized for the decks. I'm hoping that others might have found something more useful.

Unfortunately I haven't found anything really useful or sexy. I usually just stick to a huge stack that I cut in half. If you find something great please post it!

It's the cardboard widget from Carcassonne: The Tower. I've only ever used it for Talisman!

EDIT: The thematic Talisman card holder can be had online for eight bucks in some places; it comes with its own box, a little bag of hamster chews and 17 shot-glass coasters.

Those are great Jon.Very smart indeed.I would like to see an Arkham Horror version (now thats a game that needs a holder) If i hadn't just spent loads on more Talisman expansions I would drop him a line...

This is a brilliant idea. I snarfed a loose tower off of eBay, and it's near perfect for Talisman. Stable, room for a number of expansions, and thematic - doesn't get better than that!

Thanks for the suggestion!

I have two of the bigger card holders like Jon has -- they are great, really well made.

Wish I bought at least one more now, maybe two.

Really like the character holder!

Can you only get these card holders from q_ral directly? I am interested in them but so far all I can seem to find is the evolution of their design and people praising it.

Seems I may have to go with this Tower idea for now...

awesome cardholders, now I just need to figure out how to make room for it on the table we play on. Might need to upgrade the table (arkham horror for example is nearly unplayable, very uncomfortable to play on that table

Character holder is ace as well but i might end up custom making one, with foamed box floor so the plastics doesnt break.
