Have some more progress photos of some Dwarven Knights of Uren for Confrontation . Finished with the armor on the boars and the knights. Basecoated with brass and silver then an all over wash of devlan mud, then highlights of brass and silver again. Also did the skin on the snouts and faces. Here are some photos:

Just finished up six of the Panzers for Memoir 44. Not sure I like how they turned out. A little too heavy on the metallic dry brushing. I tried some free hand on the German insignia. These were done in about an hour.

Worked on some more Memoir 44 minis last night. Took about an hour and half to get these painted up. Really simple paint job on the hedgehogs and wire. Primed black, dry brushed with Bestial Brown (a GW color), then another dry brush of Gunmetal metal (a Vallejo color). The sandbags were primed black (as always), a base coat of graveyard earth (GWQ color) then dry brushed with bleached bone(GW). I have a spray on sealer that I use from Testors but it has been too humid to spray outside so that will have to wait. I highly recommend Testors dull coat. Two coats protects minis that are handled a lot and it removes the annoying shine from painted minis.

For those who don't know (ok..everyone) I have been a mini painter for over 20 years. My main focus was your standard WH40K and Warhammer fantasy. I have also painted an army of Rackham Dwarves for a customer once. Most of those can be viewed on http://www.parvusmachina.com . But after buying Memoir '44, I wanted to try my hand at painting something even smaller! So today, my son and I started on the base game minis.
First off I had to make a painting rig to handle numerous miniatures at once. Simply made from scarp wood, some nails and blue tac (in this case it is white tac, but works the same.)
First the Germans:
Then the 'Mericans:
And a spray we go!!
For those of you with little patience, I have found that an old hair dryer can cut down drying time tremendously!
Everything primed and ready for paint!
The next step of this project is to start with the sandbags, wire, hedgehogs, and artillery guns. Then move onto the tanks, then the infantry.
Thanks for visiting!
