Played Poseidon today, armed with camera of course. Here's a shot of my opponents:

The photo was taken with available light. We're getting some actual sunlight here, which makes a world of difference. I could shoot ISO 200 handheld without flash. Amazing.

Here's the obligatory end of the game board photo:

Here I had to use flash, as it had got that much darker. Sun was still up, but had moved so it didn't shine much inside anymore. I now had a small bounce card in the flash.

I see you have the same awesome Venerati chips that I do.

I hate to think how much shipping would have been for those all the way to Finland!

What is that cube in the first picture, the one that appears to have a clock on one of the faces? What is its function?

Looks like a chess clock kind of thing. Each player can have a separate running time, rotate the current player's colour to the top.

Yeah, the cube is DGT Cube, the best game clock I've seen so far.

Venerati chips, yes! My favourite chips. Didn't cost that much, actually, the shipping was surprisingly moderate (they fit inside two fixed-price envelopes).

Thanks! Good poker chips are hard to find locally so seeing "awesome" poker chips with cheap international shipping caught my attention.

The DGT Cube is, by the way, a very handy clock. It can count time down or up, it does game time and move time. In this case we didn't have any time limits, just counted up. It's very easy to use, just rotate the correct side up and it counts.

Bit of a cognitive disconnect there, though - "ok, it's the blue nation, so red side up", "now it's the red nation, so green side up". Easier on the brain when there's just player colours that match the Cube =)
