Projects overview

I’ll admit, I’m a bit prone to distraction. I usually have a bunch of projects on the go at the same time. Some are in more active states and some are more long-term. There are a lot in the information-gathering stage and a few in the mulling-over stage. I usually start collecting materials needed until I hit a critical mass of materials acquired, time crunch, and inertia. Once I start, I’ll work away at it until I hit a snag - where I need something I don’t have or can’t get, or until I have to put things away to make room for life again - at which point I will put them on the back burner until I have time and space for them again.

Those I currently have on more of an active status are the following:
Warhammer 40,000 (fifth edition) - I’m collecting bits to be able to rebuild my Tyranid forces now that I’m actively getting back into 40K. I’ll need to assemble and paint them - as well as paint my son’s Space Wolves.

Race Day - I’ve found a place that has some of the old RaceDay cards so I’m working to finish off my set of those. I’ll probably dry mount the maps at a later date to some foamcore or hard board to have a nice version.

Crimson Skies - I’m working on getting the FASA Crimson Skies. I remember seeing the city they had at Gencon years ago but never got into it. I do have all the Wizkids sets (with multiples) and keep thinking about upsizing the planes to 1/72 scale like I did with the Canvas Eagles - but that is for more of a later project. I have picked up a bunch of the books on ebay - I just need the Boxed set and the Behind the Crimson Veil sourcebook.

The Rules With No Name - My main project I’m working on right now is upsizing the Rules With No Name to 1/35 scale. I’ve picked up a few containers of plastic Cowboys & Indians at that scale and have based and started to paint some. I’ve found some cattle and horses in a close scale that will need to be based and painted. I’ve been working on upsizing the Whitewash City buildings to the larger scale.

thumbsup Good luck to you in nabbing the Crimson Skies boxed set! It's a great game and one of my personal faves.

Unfortunately, the boxed set is likely going to cost you a cool hundred bucks these days, which is unfortunate since the game sold for around forty back when it first came out in 1998/1999. If you're willing to spend the moolah though, there are copies available right now on both Ebay and Amazon.

Actually, I was able to get it from Noble Knight Games for a little more than half that back at the end of July.

Very happy with it.
