Dice Hate Me

I’m Chris. I play games. Lots and lots of games. I created Dice Hate Me as a place where I can talk about and review games, preview upcoming titles, write ridiculous and (sometimes) humorous things, and generally spread some paper and boardgaming love. Dice Hate Me is more than just a title, though – it’s a gaming lifestyle. You see, I have really bad dice karma. I’m pretty lucky in life, but hand me a pair of dice in a game and I’m dead meat. I’m the guy that always lands on Boardwalk when somebody owns it. I’m the guy that never gets a Yahtzee. Yeah, I’m the guy that avoids the craps table in Vegas as if it were a minor demon. Still, even though dice hate me, I love them. The little bastards.

The State of Games, Episode 5 is alive! In this very special episode of The State of Games, Monkey and Dice have a bone to pick with Fantasy Flight Game's newest release, Mansions of Madness. The dynamic duo are joined on the podcast by Wired.com GeekDad's own Michael Harrison, who eagerly adds his voice to the rant. SPOILER ALERT: This podcast contains several key plot points, clues and endings to the stories in Mansions of Madness; if you haven't played the game and would rather not ruin the surprise, consider yourself warned!

That was a pretty tough review! You will probably get a lot more (possibly colourful) comments if you linked this with the Mansions of Madness page.

That's weird... when I first posted it, I had it linked to the MoM page. Thanks for the heads up!

Perhaps I should have listened to these in order, instead of backwards (sofar) starting with 7 (or perhaps, they are growing on me (heaven forbid laugh)...

I enjoyed this one tons, and am sure that the findings on MoM and LoV would pretty much agree with my tastes. Thanks for the interesting and enlightening podcast. When time I'll probably proceed to the 1-4 ones that I've missed.
VERY glad I listened to this first, as I'm somewhat a Lovecraft fan, at least in Arkham Horror vein, and was tempted on MoM due to seeing it fairly cheaply around. Saved by the podcast, as I'm sure that my findings on it would mirror yours at least in the ballpark.
And LoV sounds pretty fun, might have to pick one up if I see it around for a song. And definitely chips!

Light, love and laughter to you all,
Orion
