Due to popular demand (1 person asked on the off-chance), here's a little more detail about the infamous, nay legendary, Boydell workshop aka 'shed':

Shot 1 - From the outside:

You may notice that, in the background, I've mowed the lawn!

Shot 2 - The 'Desk' where it all happens!

Note the 'works in progress' on the drawing board, the 'supply' of classic games for inspiration on the corner shelves, the Bolland print on the wall etc

Shot 3 - Paperclip Railways 'in readiness'

44,000 32mm paperclips in 6 colours. Still awaiting the 'wooden cubes' - these are coming from the Czech Republic (due mid-May). Luckily, the printer for the station cards and rule book is 5 minutes down the road from my house!

Shot 4 - A closer look at the corner shelves

Shot 5 - The deflated inflatable Dalek stands guard...

..over my rare 'The Shadow' Will Eisner print and the precious notebooks.

Shot 6 - Underneath the Dalek

Components, giant Totemo blocks (from our Essen stand 2010) and various books with artwork, themes and other graphics to be an inspiration. Here are books about Celtic knot-work that informed by Tara, Seat of Kings box-art, robot pictures that lead to the 'background' of the Fzzzt! cards (the 'factory'), guidebooks to the Snowdon Mountain Railway etc

Shot 7 - The Long Shot

...incorporating the missus' bike!

So, there you go - the first in a series of intimate peeks into my world. Next up: Tony's Pants (or 'How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love Hand Management')

Don't you mean rare 'The Spirit' Will Eisner print?

Also - love the inflatable Dalek.

I don't wish to pry, but is that a laptop with a roll of bog paper next to it? If so, bravo my son, bravo!

It also makes me wonder if that 'dalek' was inflated if it is really a dalek at all.

Re: laptop & loo paper

What a despicable accusation - I'm a hay fever sufferer, for one, and where else do I wipe my brush when I'm done?

Hang on, I need to rephrase that!

I have a box of hankies in my car too and peeps make insinuations about THAT! I mean, do you REALLY think Onanism and motorway driving are compatible?

Dirty, dirty effers, the lot of you - dirty boogers!
