Dice Hate Me

I’m Chris. I play games. Lots and lots of games. I created Dice Hate Me as a place where I can talk about and review games, preview upcoming titles, write ridiculous and (sometimes) humorous things, and generally spread some paper and boardgaming love. Dice Hate Me is more than just a title, though – it’s a gaming lifestyle. You see, I have really bad dice karma. I’m pretty lucky in life, but hand me a pair of dice in a game and I’m dead meat. I’m the guy that always lands on Boardwalk when somebody owns it. I’m the guy that never gets a Yahtzee. Yeah, I’m the guy that avoids the craps table in Vegas as if it were a minor demon. Still, even though dice hate me, I love them. The little bastards.

Ok this is a bit weird to admit but as a southerner I find it comforting to hear a podcast out of the South. I never really noticed until now that all the podcasts I listen to feature folks from the North East or West Coast. The southern accent is great to hear. Makes me feel like I am at the game store in NC. I love my North Eastern American and West Coast podcasts and wouldn't give them up but big thumbs up to the Carolinas!

Great first show I look forward to more.

ckirkman after listen your podcast and thinking about Monkey238 addiction to pandemic, have you played Space Alert? I think is a really cool cooperative game and was wondering if you could talk about it in one of your next broad cast (Maybe about the expansion that is newer)

Yes! I was hoping there might be a displaced Southerner who would appreciate my subtle drawl. I'm glad you enjoyed the podcast - hopefully we'll keep you listening to more with our charm and hospitality.

Space Alert has been on my wishlist for quite awhile now - after playing an RPG this weekend with a timer that Monkey really enjoyed, I have a feeling that it will move up on the list. I think she will like it quite a bit. We'll be sure to talk about it on the podcast once we get some plays in. Thanks for the suggestion!
