Ummm that's excellent news as this game looks so cool. What we really need is some US distribution for the game.

Wonderful news. The reviews of this game has been great. I'm really looking forward to this release. But I hope you have a better distribution network this time around.

I played the original in the UK a few times. If you run out of cash, you take a loan from the bank and pay it back doubled. Or you can take a bigger loan from the Mafia but pay it back quadrupled. In the UK, we thought this was very funny and when explained, it always got a laugh.

I played it once at the game show Play in Modina, on the publisher's stand, with Italians. When the publisher explained the part about bank loans, they nodded. When he explained about Mafia loans, they nodded. Nobody laughed, it was just what they expected to hear.

Uhm, you know, mafia exists, it's an actual problem just like the boom of baby gangs in england.

Also I can assure you that there is nothing funny in having your friends killed because of mafia affairs.

My game has the Bank and Mafia loans with the same pay back of 125% but the Mob will loan a higher amount. It occurred to me that the Mob should require a higher rate or perhaps a favor such as giving up a Helper.

Which was my point, of course. The perception in the UK is radically different from the reality in Italy.

Sorry then, I thought yours was a comment about how italians should be not-so-serious.

Where? Are they hiding behind those deformed-bottle-opener shaped tokens?

the new board is posted on the website. The new board does not depict a Hippodrome. Well, I don't think it does, because as far as I know a Hippodrome is oval in shape and it is slanted toward the center. The board depicts the same track with the Totalizer or "Blackboard" above the finish line. I think this is an improvement because I was placing the "blackboard" in that same location.

These horse-meeples won't win any beauty contests. They look like anteaters.
