Aha! A trick question. "Denhom Elliot" didn't play anyone!

Denholm Elliott, on the other hand, played a minor character (credited in IMDB as "R.A.F. Met. Officer").

Ah, right. The oily, bureaucratic explanation to Gen. Sosabowski (Geen Hawkman, with possibly the worst Polish accent in cinema history), as to why his Polish Paras can't get into the fight.
