Continuing the painting saga: The WC-13 Dodge Truck from Memoir '44: Hedgerow Hell.
The basic paint job is identical to the Jeep models. I was a bit "wetter" with the wash, and have 2 at the end with a lighter coloured dry brushing on the canvas. Haven't decided if I like it or not.

Yes, that's them waaaay in the back.

Black primer, like their little brothers

Knarloc Green base coat

Detail work, black on the tires and windows, touched up green on the hubs.

Black wash over the whole model

Graveyard Earth dry brush

Only did 2 with the Camo Green dry brushing on the canvas back, haven't quite made up my mind if I like it or not.

Dry brushing is a painting technique where you dip your brush in the chosen paint, and wipe away the majority of it off the brush (how much you clean off will depend upon how "wet" the dry brushing will be).

You then lightly brush over the model to bring out the highlights (protrusions, folds, etc) of the model. I used fairly short, light strokes on these.

George, the combination of a dark wash (to get darker color in the crevices) and the dry brushing of a lighter shade highlight the ridges and corners give the piece depth.thumbsup

Update: I did the rest of the trucks with the camo green dry brushing on the canvas. Gives it a bit of a "worn through" effect.
