Last Friday we were 4, but one player had an unexpected delay when his car wouldn’t start (through trying to push the petrol tank to its limit!) – luckily the RAC only took 10 minutes to arrive! The three of us played Vegas Showdown while we were waiting, followed by a couple of hands of Monopoly Deal Card Game. Then we pulled out O Zoo le Mio, and visitors kept flooding to my park, while Richard’s park seemed to be in some trouble!

After that was RoboRally, but on one of the Armed and Dangerous boards with far too many conveyors. Colin and I both ended up in the pit of death early on, and Sami seemed to be the only one able to navigate the many roundabouts on the board and actually able to touch checkpoints. Sami reached checkpoint 2 but then his robot died, but his second one was making good attempts to get there when Colin and I both died in the same turn, so at that point the game was awarded to Sami, as Richard hadn’t even touched checkpoint one!

After that we pulled out Stone Age, where Sami’s balanced strategy proved victorious, then moved to lighter fare for the rest of the evening – 7 Wonders, then another fun Ugg-Tect, then Cutthroat Caverns (I pulled off a late victory, having done nothing early game!), and finally one of the highest scoring Incan Gold games I’ve seen for a while and Take it Easy! to finish with.
