Animal Upon Animal: Balancing Bridge and Homesteaders.

The 35mm/2 has become my standard lens for most purposes. It's on my camera, unless I need something else. It's such a snappy little lens - good view on many things, light, small, takes sharp enough photos... very useful general purpose lens.

I've been thinking about buying the popular and well-appreciated Canon EF-S 10-22mm ultrawide, but now that I've waited a bit, Sigma has something interesting to offer. I wasn't interested in the 10-20mm, but the new 8-16mm wide zoom seems interesting.

It's even wider than the Canon, and considerably cheaper. I'm tempted.

Here's a rock'n'roll photo that did require a longer lens (100mm).
