It's a good test.. I watched the video but don't have any audio right now so I didn't hear what you said.

When I've heated up minis to bend them, I keep a bowl of cold water handy. I dip them into the cold water to "lock in" the shape. Otherwise, they sometimes bend back out of shape as they cool gradually.

The music was a nice touch. =)
Good to know this technique can also be used on painted (and presumably sealed) minis - I wasn't aware of that and probably wouldn't have risked trying myself!
