There were 6 of us, one of them being my cousin who was over for the weekend for a family gathering. As she prefers the party games, particularly the wordy ones, we had a rather lighter session than usual.

We started with a 3 player Take Two while waiting for people to arrive, and then started Strasbourg with Marion and Richard, thinking we’d get it in before my cousin arrived, but she arrived earlier than expected, so we abandoned it one round in – possibly just as well for Colin, who’d just revealed that he hadn’t played before (as we’d assumed he had we didn’t give him a rules explanation!!).

Instead we pulled out Time’s Up, the Title Recall edition as it was new to Elizabeth, and Richard finds it slightly easier. Colin and Elizabeth turned out to be the winning combination, just beating Sami and Marion by 1 point each round for the victory! Next we pulled out Apples to Apples, that I was surprised to find was new to Marion and Richard, and which was such a hit that we played it twice. Next came Say Anything, and then was followed by Fauna, as a slightly more thinky but still light game – I won as usual (as James wasn’t present!), but it was quite close behind me!

We finished with one (very long!) round of Jungle Speed – I think we were all a bit tired by then, so it was more even than usual, and no-one was able to get rid of their cards!
