Bobby's Games

I will be posting monthly recaps of my gaming which I have been doing in GeekLists. I'll also be commenting on games on occasion, though I can tell you that I will be behind the curve because I just don't get to play the new games as soon as some people do.

Yesterday I talked about Super Dungeon Explore and mentioned that there was a set of demo rules on the company's page. It turns out that the file has been uploaded here, too. You can find those demo rules are here.

And since I just hate single-paragraph entries, how about a few pictures? You can click on the pictures to see larger versions.

This is a shot of all the plastic figures in the game.

These are a couple of heroes, the druid and the mage, and the druid's bear beast form. It's too bad the druid wasn't released in metal because he would have been fun to paint. I like the large flat surfaces for the figures, which could make them either easier or harder to paint.

This is the Kobold Dragon Priest figure. I would guess it was painted by BGG user JayAdan since he posted the picture.

Now I feel like I have posted enough for the day.

I'm super looking forward to the release of this game.

I too am disappointed that the druid wasn't released in metal, but apparently the company are looking into eventually releasing all their plastics in metal (according to posts made on their facebook page).

I find that the flat minis are quite difficult to paint, particularly because I do not use the wet-blending technique. The flat surfaces are very unforgiving!

I got my minis today. I bet they will be easier to paint than you think. I've done some blending before on some flat surfaces and it isn't that difficut.

I've painted one It's in the Super Dungeon Explore gallery. The flat surface means that ink doesn't have anywhere to catch and inking is my primary technique .
