Recent Gaming Activity: Just played my first game of The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game with my 7 year old daughter; we had a lot of fun with it. Passage Through Mirkwood: I was Tactics, my daughter was Spirit and we beat the quest quite nicely. We got a couple things wrong in a few places, so I look forward to playing it again and at some point trying it with my wife (I think she'll enjoy it).

Collection Reduction: I'm getting rid of a few games that probably won't see the light of day much.

Here are the links to the auctions:

Auction for Doom: The Boardgame I really like this game, and I don't want to get rid of it, but the sad reality is that I probably won't have a chance to play it for a very long time so I'm letting it go.

Auction for Battlestar Galactica I had a lot of fun with this playing at the FFG Event Center, but it didn't jive as well with the people I play with so it goes.

Auction for Cosmic Encounter (2008 FF edition) This one just didn't tickle my fancy so I'm hoping it can find a home were it will get some more play time.

New Games to acquire: My birthday's coming up in October and I'm thinking about adding at least Ascending Empires and maybe Gears of War: The Board Game, but for the latter I think I'll read through the rules first. It's also a possibility that I'll trap into at least one expansion for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game.

Considering the game is out of print, you're going to be kicking yourself methinks...

Agreed. You might not be able to play it now, but in the future when you do get the chance to play it again, you'll be wish you hadn't sold it. whistle

I can only agree with shnar. Don't even think about selling Doom: The Boardgame. You don't want to use TileSystem as a gameplay simulator (though it is possible to do, just a bit tricky with drawing marine and invader cards if you don't have them at hand).

Take my advice: put Doom: The Boardgame on a resting place (preferably clean and not moist) and wait, it will pay off.
