We ended up buying King of Tokyo last Saturday when we were on a game shopping spree. We have played it 8 times since and really do enjoy it a lot. But I do have to rant about something. The production quality sucks big time. The box was in a mint condition so no complaint there, but some of the components were somewhat disappointing. The dice were dirty which seems fairly odd for a new game. And one dice actually looked like one of the monsters had bitten a piece off of it. And the list goes on. The Meka dragon cardboard figure was slightly damaged and the player boards had scratches. I looked through some forum posts and apparently this is a common problem with the game and the spare parts Iello are willing to send are just as horrible as the ones in the boxes. So why bother? Hopefully these issues will be fixed in future editions.

Other games we bought were Cthulhu Gloom, 7 Wonders (Finally!), Kill Doctor Lucky and Alhambra: The Dice Game which was on sale for like 12 euros. Have not played them yet but bagged the components of course. I'm thinkin of buying sleeves for 7 wonders 'cause the cards seem susceptible to scratches and other stuff. Why so low quality cards? Or is it just me thinking that way...

We ordered Elder Sign and have been waiting almost a week now. Hopefully it will come this week as promised. I promised my 15 years old niece we would have a game night next week and we're hoping to bring that game with us.

I also bough sleeves for 7 Wonders and I usually don't sleeve anything. I really dislike sleeves but yes, unfortunately 7 Wonders needs them.

Yeah, I don't really like sleeves. But with 7 wonders I don't really see a choice.

Same here, also the first game I ever sleeved. It gets a ton of play as an evening starter here, and the cards are, well, fragile .

Sleeve the cards for Kill Doctor Lucky as soon as possible! Mine started to peel apart after just a few games.

7 Wonders will be my birthday present this year.

I love the artwork I saw in the screens and videos here
and want to prevent the cards to become scratchy.
Never done that before, but I'll sleeve this game, too.

I have no idea which are the right ones for 7 Wonders
and where to get it. Could someone please help me out?

edit:
I read about "Premium Magnum Copper" or something like that the other day.
Fount it here:

Is this, what you guys would recommend?
And how many sleeves do I need for 7 Wonders?

Hello Kay I just bought 7 wonders and Leaders and definitely you should sleeve them ´cause they the cards are kinda fragile...

7 wonders has: 157 cards
Leaders has: 42 cards
Total: 199 cards

if you have 7 wonders only u may buy 2 packs of these (100 sleeves each one)

http://maydaygames.com/gaming-accessories/card-sleeve/standa...

or buy 2 packs of these as well (125% ticker) (80 sleeves each one)

http://maydaygames.com/gaming-accessories/card-sleeve/premiu...

but if u have 7 wonders and Leaders as well you can sleeve all cards with 2 packs of the normal sleeves, but if you want the ticker sleeves you have to buy 3 packs

cheers!

I have 7 wonders and the Leaders expansion.
So I'll need sleeves for 199 cards.
Which makes 3 packs of the Premium Magnum Copper Sleeves.

Thank you for the info!
