We ended up buying King of Tokyo last Saturday when we were on a game shopping spree. We have played it 8 times since and really do enjoy it a lot. But I do have to rant about something. The production quality sucks big time. The box was in a mint condition so no complaint there, but some of the components were somewhat disappointing. The dice were dirty which seems fairly odd for a new game. And one dice actually looked like one of the monsters had bitten a piece off of it. And the list goes on. The Meka dragon cardboard figure was slightly damaged and the player boards had scratches. I looked through some forum posts and apparently this is a common problem with the game and the spare parts Iello are willing to send are just as horrible as the ones in the boxes. So why bother? Hopefully these issues will be fixed in future editions.
Other games we bought were Cthulhu Gloom, 7 Wonders (Finally!), Kill Doctor Lucky and Alhambra: The Dice Game which was on sale for like 12 euros. Have not played them yet but bagged the components of course. I'm thinkin of buying sleeves for 7 wonders 'cause the cards seem susceptible to scratches and other stuff. Why so low quality cards? Or is it just me thinking that way...
We ordered Elder Sign and have been waiting almost a week now. Hopefully it will come this week as promised. I promised my 15 years old niece we would have a game night next week and we're hoping to bring that game with us.

But with 7 wonders I don't really see a choice.
