See this post for an introduction to this project.

Phase 4 has taken even longer time than phase 3 to complete, but Tzeentch really has too many tricky miniatures to paint
I don't expect anybody to be surprised that the fourth power I paint is Tzeentch. It was quite natural to complete the four powers from the base game first.

As always we start by having a look at the Greater Daemon, the color scheme of Tzeentch is already blue (at least for the greater daemon) but I have pushed it a bit towards Turquoise. As the FFG miniatures aren't 'classic blue'.

Next is one of my biggest problems of all the miniatures, now on one hand the 'Horrors of Tzeentch' as FFG names them are actually 'Pink Horrors of Tzeentch', but on the other hand pink miniatures for the blue player will confuse people and look strange.
So after many considerations I decided to do the same as all others that have painted the FFG miniatures: Paint them blue!
(When you kill Pink Horror two Blue Horrors appears, so Blue Horrors do in fact exist).
I would wish that Tzeentch had more warriors because these where really fun to paint. But let’s have a look at how they turned out.

Opposed to Khorne, Tzeentch really has a lot of Cultists. As most of the Horrors were playing with fire, I wanted to make this the theme of the Cultists. I also wanted to make them a bit cooler than the previous Cultists, because when I play Tzeentch I almost only use the Cultists (it might get hard to not use the greater daemon when playing with this set though ).

Let’s have a look at the four types of Cultists for the base game. I hope that you can see what I have tried to achieve, Cultists that are all generic/similar as the FFG ones, but each with a different color scheme and feel to make them different.

And at last, behold the strange Tzeentch horde!

I can just as well admit that the next phase is going to be 'The Horned Rat', everything is assembled, green stuffed and primed. And I do think that I have a small surprise for you next time

I have also prepared all the miniatures for 'The Old World', this consists of Heroes, Nobles, Events, Skavens, Peasants and Warpstones. But I don't think you will see these guys painted in 2011

Again, taking all the pictures, cutting them and posting them takes most of an evening. So if you like it please reward me with a comment or a thump

Promise me that when you're done with this project you will take at least one picture of a game being played with these pieces. That would be awesome to see.

More brilliant results--as well as the general highly skilled painting. I'm envious of how good your flames look.

This is truly an art. I always looks forward to your updates and what's coming next. The game is awesome and you take it to a level that is beyond imaginable. I hope when all is said and done you'll give a summary run down of revelations, any problems you had, costs involved, source for supplies, etc... or maybe add them as summaries to each phase.
