I had heard some about Puppet Wars online from being a fan of Wyrd and Mailfaux, so had some interest in it when I saw it at Gen Con. I wasn't sure if the game would be fun or not, but the puppets looked cool and in a worst case scenario they can be subbed in Malifaux, so I took the plunge and bought it. Then I had a really good time painting them up and have even got to play it a few times. I just recently bought some empty 30mm round bases that I am gong to magnetize so that I can use my puppets in Malifaux.

All the puppets from the base set and the promo Pokey Vicky.

A group shot of the Ressurectionists from the base set.

I primed the Bette Noir white and did most of the painting with mulitple layers of citadel washes.

I used some gloss paint on the nurse's syringe.

A group shot of the Outcasts from the base set.

The Convict Gunslinger has a fairly interesting looking puppet sculpt I think.

A group shot of the Guild from the base set.

I think the puppet executioner might be my favorite model from the set.

I liked the way the coat turned out on the December Acolyte.
