64 plays of 12 games. Bold is new to me. Red indicates a game not played in the last year.

Pentago 39
Pit 10
Elder Sign 3
Quarriors! 3
Lost Cities: The Board Game 2
Campanile 1
Heroica: Fortaan 1
Heroica: Nathuz 1
Heroica: Waldurk 1
Pick Picknic 1
Ra 1
Thebes 1

Pentago was easily the most played game of the month, but that is mostly due to the fact that we can knock out about 10-12 plays in 30 minutes.

Pit made a return this month. It is one of my favorite games to play with a large group of people. We played it with 4 players, which is just barely workable, but the kids enjoy it and it probably makes it a bit easier for them with fewer players.

Quarriors! was a new game for us. It is receiving a lot of criticism on BGG but I think the game is designed for families, not hardcore gamers, and the game works well for the target audience. My kids have really enjoyed this on so far.

Elder Sign is another new game for us. There are a few rough spots in the rules but I don't think the ruleset is nearly as bad as it has been made out to be. I'm a sucker for dice games and co-ops with the kids, so I like this one as well.

Lost Cities: The Board Game is another strong family game. My wife really likes it which is not surprising as she loves the card game. This one should get back to the table several times before the end of the year.

You forgot to mention that the wife is in open rebellion about Campanille and refuses to play it again. The whole mechanism is alien to me. Why you wouldn' be able to bet on the card you played is very frustrating, and I don't like betting games on a good day. Campanille, back to the shelf for you! Or you and the kids can play it.

Now I agree that Lost Cities, the Board Game scales the card game realy well for four players, but beyond that, i think it adds additional elements not found in the card game. I found the 2-person game we played enjoyable also. LOVE IT!!!

The Heroica series is not that particularly interesting for adults only but both of my kids (10 yr old boy and 8 yr old girl) really enjoy it. You can design your own dungeons and the game is very easy to tweak, so you can easily match the difficulty level to the age and ability of your children. Just understand that it is a very, very basic dungeon crawl. The good thing for kids is that no one is killed. If you lose all your hit points, you lose a variable number of turns recovering but you aren't out of the game.

I will point out that prior to you joining us for the game, I reminded you that you had played Campanile once, about 10 years ago, and hated it. Nevertheless, you still wanted to play.

At least you are consistent.
