Nightfall:

Playtesting on NF5 has wrapped up and the final files are heading to the printers. Very interesting set if I may say so, looking very forward to both it and NF4 to hit stores so I can discuss them here on the geek! With testing about to begin on NF6 I've put out a call for new playtest teams and got some great responses. Good playtesters are invaluable for ongoing testing like this, as I'd never be able to have these sets balanced on my own in time. So in case any of the teams are reading: thank you for all your hard work!

Also, for those who may not know, the Jack Vasel Memorial Fund Auction is currently underway and is scheduled to end on Nov. 15th. I highly recommend participating if you're able, whether it be donating a game, bidding on some or both. There's Nightfall goodies on pages 1, 2 and 8 for those that are interested.

Just in Time:

Made significant progress this week in streamlining some of the game's mechanics as I've been working on preparing the files to print the initial prototype. I plan to have a revised rulebook ready within the next couple of days and will post it in the G+ Game Lab forums when I do. For now, here's a couple pics of the updated game board and initial hex setup:

Gaming:

Finally got the chance to play a full game of Agricola, though we did play with the family rules. I think the game is pretty cool, but can definitely see that we have a long ways to go in learning the game to get some good scores going. Next time we play I want to experiment with focusing on growing my family to maximize my actions and hopefully dominate the end game, guess I'll find out how well that goes when the time comes.

Web Development:

Haven't had much time to work on my Game Night Poll website these last few weeks with my spare time being focused on Just in Time and playing some of the latest additions to my personal game collection. December however should be a lot slower (as odd sounding as that may be) and I ought to have more free time to devote into coding the site. My plan remains to make the site freely available to the members of BGG and others. Hopefully people will find it useful.
