Been a long day, so not typing a ton tonight... snore

Just in Time
Worked most of the day today putting together the 2nd version of the rulebook for JiT. Streamlined a lot of bits from the first version and increased the replayability by quite a bit. Here's the PDF for those that'd like to check it out:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/103504/Just%20in%20Time/Rulebook%20v...

I plan to create the prototype in the very near future and will be posting more updates after I finally get to play it.

MACE
Today was the first of 3 days of gaming at a local con. Got to play in a demo for Ticket to Ride with my family. It's definitely a must have and has since been added to my want list. Also got to run a game of Nightfall with the first expansion Nightfall: Martial Law mixed in. Was good times. Tomorrow night there will be a Nightfall tourney with a signed copy of Nightfall: Blood Country as the prize!

I read the Just In Time rulebook and it sounds very interesting. Seems like you had better keep a sharp eye on where and when your opponents are or you could have your hard work stolen from you before you even did it! laugh

I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one. Good luck with it, David.

JiT looks awfully expense to produce. Lots of custom bits. Maybe I missed something but does the layout of the hexes really need to be random? Can players move around on the hex-grid? If they can't, why are the hexes randomized? (I get the feeling I'm missing something.)

Yes, players can move around on the hex grid. Could swap the double sided discs out for standard discs and just add in 30 or so black discs, but it'd be more of a pain for the players.
